Safety and Policies

Your safety is our first concern. Calm Waters has gone to great lengths for your safety and continued good health. Our services are subject to federal sanitation and safety regulations. Our special sterilization equipment, sanitation systems and safety procedures are in place to create the healthiest environment for you. You will be asked to fill out a health questionnaire at your first visit which will be reviewed each time you are with us. This will help us assess your needs and help us refer you to the services that will suit those needs. It will also allow us to identify any contraindications to services that may be related to some health concerns. Those guests with allergies to iodine will want to avoid all services containing seaweed. If you have high blood pressure or a heart condition, we recommend you avoid treatments that involve heat or detoxification. If you are pregnant, please avoid treatments involving heat or detoxification or essential oils. Please feel free to discuss any concerns with your therapist before, during or after services. Appointments and Cancellation Policy ~ Because of the popularity of our unique services, we recommend you make an advance reservation for any of our treatments.  You can secure a reservation by phone, or in person, using your Visa or MasterCard.
Since we strive to provide such personal service to our clients, no-shows and cancellations impact us significantly; therefore we have a strict cancellation policy.  A full fee is charged to your charge card for missed appointments or cancellations made less than 48 hours before your appointment.  Than you for your understanding.

Returns ~ Your satisfaction is our utmost concern.  If you are dissatisfied with a product, please bring it in so we can re-evaluate your needs. We will be glad to exchange undamaged products for something that suits you better. If a suitable alternative can not be found, we will refund you within two weeks of your purchase.

No Smoking ~ Calm Waters continues to ensure a healthful environment for our clients by up holding a no smoking policy.

Punctuality ~ We have our scheduling procedures down to a science to permit the proper amount of time to complete each service. Your punctuality is greatly appreciated so our other guests do not have to wait for their services. In the event that you are running more than 10 minutes late, it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment / and you may be charge for the appointment time.

Personal Belongings ~ We can not be responsible for loss of or damage to personal articles including clothing or accessories. For your convenience, lockers and appropriate clothing will be provided during your visit with us.  Bathing suits are optional for Hydrotherapy Tub treatments but will not be provided.  Please feel free to bring one.

Staff Selection/Changes ~ If you feel you would be better served or more comfortable with another staff member - or if you would just like a fresh point of view - please let us know.  We all work as a team and we want what is best for you.

Modesty & Draping ~ We know that some people may have concerns about the lack of clothing during services.  We want you to know that your comfort during any treatment is our concern.  We use towels to drape the areas of the body that are not being treated. If you are having a Hydrotherapy Tub treatment and would like to wear a bathing suit, please bring your own.  Please feel free to discuss concerns openly with any staff member.  Your comfort is most important to us!

Noise in the Spa ~ In order to keep the environment of the spa a peaceful sanctuary, we ask that you use a whisper while in the spa.  We also ask that cell phones, pagers and beepers etc. be turned off during services.  We do have a small privacy room that may be used in between services if it is not being used by another guest.  Please let us know ahead if you will need the privacy room and we will book it for you.

Children ~ We want you to be able to completely relax while you are with us. That is why we ask that you arrange off-site childcare during your visit with us.
